living in grace

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9

After many years as a teacher, I finally answered the call to go to seminary to become an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. I’m in my fifth and final year at Luther Seminary, and I am serving my internship at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Warren, Michigan.

Xapis (or Charis) is the Greek word for grace.

“All is always now” is a quotation from one of my favorite poems: Four Quartets by T. S. Eliot:

Or say that the end precedes the beginning,
And the end and the beginning were always there
Before the beginning and after the end.
And all is always now.

T. S. Eliot, Burnt Norton, Four Quartets

This, I think, is God’s view of time.
